Cut Flowers

Buying Cut Flowers from Flower Day Farm

There's nothing quite like bringing fresh-cut blooms straight from the farm into your home. At Flower Day Farm, our cut flowers are harvested at peak freshness so you get the longest vase life possible.

How to Choose Your Flowers

Look for blooms that are just beginning to open — tight buds will continue to open beautifully at home. Avoid flowers with browning petals or yellowing leaves.

Caring for Your Cut Flowers

  • Trim the stems at a 45° angle before placing in water to maximize water uptake.
  • Use clean water and change it every 1–2 days to keep bacteria at bay.
  • Keep them cool — away from direct sunlight, heat vents, and ripening fruit.
  • Remove foliage below the waterline to prevent rot.

Availability

Our cut flowers are seasonal and harvested fresh each week. Dahlias are available late summer through fall, while peonies bloom in late spring. Check back often — availability changes with the season!

Ordering

Orders are available for farm pickup or local delivery. We recommend ordering at least 48 hours in advance to ensure your blooms are freshly harvested just for you.
